Why we like these:

Placards like these allow for you to quickly attach or detach your mag pouches, which we like for modularity and for packing away our gear.  We prefer the Midlength size because to us it's the perfect middle ground of retention but still being able to get a full hand around the magazine.

These have velcro on the back to stick to the loop velcro on the front of your cummerbund.  YOU WILL NEED LOOP VELCRO ON THE FRONT OF YOUR CARRIER.

We chose to offer these in the 'naked' variation with no molle webbing on the front.  Our thought behind this is, if you're planning to attach admin pouches or other gear to the front of your placard there are many options on the market that have much more storage capacity and versatility.  These are for a those looking to run their plate carriers in a more low-profile configuration.

These work great with plate carriers like the Ferro Slickster, Spiritus Systems LV-119, or the Defensive Mechanisms MEPC

QASM buckles are necessary in order to attach these to the molle of your plate carrier, and can be purchased separately.  Some carriers already have these built in, but others (like the Ferro Slickster) do not.  These take just a few seconds to install.

* You'll notice that while the male buckles are coyote brown, the female QASM buckles are a lighter tan.  We chose these because this color works with more camo color options (and blends better with ranger green).

Official Esstac description:

To use our front panels on different plate carriers that are out on the market make sure you have the 1" female buckles and they are spread 6" apart from the inside of the buckles. Also make sure your carrier has loop velcro under the buckles so our front panels can attach to your plate carrier that you have.

Front panels are removable via velcro(they act as the cummerbun flap) and two ITW QASM Buckles at the top. Simply pop the two buckles and swap panels. They are built the same as our normal KYWI pouches, but instead of Webbing on the back for mounting they have Hook velcro and two buckles to integrate into the PC.

Front panels remove some excess typical of Plate carriers, no longer do you need a mounting system and front flap. So you remove some weight and streamline/thin the front of your PC.
