We’re proud to introduce the Official Panther City Tactical Stencil Kits — precision-cut from top-quality, high-bake vinyl. Designed for use with both spray paint and Cerakote, these single-use stencils can be repositioned during application and are rated for bake cycles up to 200ºF.
Every stencil kit ships with a little 'spudger' tool and a set of fine tweezers to assist in the application and removal of the vinyl.
Frog Skin / Duck Hunter Pattern
Frog Skin (also known as duck hunter) dates back to the early 40s when the US Army was experimenting with different camo patterns in WWII. It was later used in the Korean War and even Vietnam.
This is a 4 color pattern, and can be painted in several different color palettes. We thought the 'arid desert' look was cool, but the classic pattern generally features much more green.
The colors used in the example photo are, in this order:
- 30051 "383" Brown C.A.R.C. Substitute
- 30117 Camouflage Earth Red
- 30257 Camouflage Earth Yellow
- 33446 "686" Tan C.A.R.C. Substitute

This kit currently comes in one size. See product photos on the 50 cal ammo can for scale reference. This stencil kit comes with 6 sheets- enough for a full size rifle and maybe a mag or two depending on your application and how you space out the shapes.
Basic Application Guide for Frog Skin / Duck Hunter
- Spray Color 1 (30051 CARC Brown in example photo)
- Apply Stencils from Sheet A (sheets labeled in top left corner)
- Spray Color 2 (30117 Earth Red in example photo)
- Apply Stencils from Sheet B
- Spray Color 3 (30257 Earth Yellow in example photo)
- Apply Stencils from Sheet C
- Spray Background Color (33446 CARC Tan in example photo)
- Allow paint to fully dry before removing stencils. Highly recommend using tweezers (included) and razorblade (not included) to lift skinny stencils.
