Lubrication is important for all moving parts in your AR. And guess what? There's a lot of movement in your buffer tube. A lubricated buffer tube helps prevent wear on your buffer spring, and also helps to cut down on some of the noise caused by a dry buffer spring scraping against an unlubricated buffer tube.
