Why we like these:
Forward Controls Design takes standard parts and makes minor tweaks in the design for small but noticeable improvements. The slight curvature in the button surface is a minor change from the milspec design, but is a noticeable ergonomic improvement.
Official Description From FCD:
The EMR-H features a slightly curved button surface to fit the natural curvature of your finger. The form fitting curve, along with horizontal serrations, create a self centering surface that inhibits the finger's vertical movements. The EMR-H has a milspec through hole for the magazine catch's shaft, and is only 0.02" taller than the factory magazine release button. When installed, the EMR-H has minimal protrusion above the mag release button fence on most forged receivers.
Machined from 4140 bar stock, it is QPQ coated. In late 2019, 7075 aluminum EMR was replaced by 4140 steel EMR-H (heavy). EMR-H joins the MSQ-H (MLOK, Sling Adapter, Heavy) and ESF-H (End plate, Sling adapter, Heavy) in the H (heavy) line of components.
Proudly made in the USA.
